      This "Check Drawer" does not have to be used for checks. I bought two of these drawers because I needed a small drawer for storing office stationery and it works great for that purpose. I wanted it to match my other ten stackable Storex filing drawers that I bought from Staples.

      The design is quite nice and one check drawer will stack ontop of another check drawer. The check drawers feel very sturdy. There is one major design flaw in my opinion; the Storex check drawer will NOT stack ontop of NOR attach to the side of a Storex filing drawer. The dimensions just don't match; they do not match the exact dimensions in terms of width, length, or height (two stacked ontop of each other don't match the height of a filing cabinet). If the dimensions matched, this product would be perfect...I really wish they did!

      So if you plan on buying this to stack it ontop of the stackable filing drawers, it might not be what you expect. With some powertools, it is possible and likely secure if you're OK with the different proportions. If you want it stacked nearby a set of storex filing drawers without attaching it, then it's a good buy. I also recommend the filing drawer on its own, but if you only care about the check drawer and don't care about the filing drawer, then it's also a good buy; the check drawers do stack well ontop of each other if you purchase more than one check drawer.

                The bracket is just meant to follow the checks so they stand upright if the drawer is not full. If you need something to better separate your checks, you may want to try index card guides, such as item SMD57030. They are only 8" wide, but they should keep your checks separated and do have tabs so that you can identify them. These particular guides are not available on Staples.com, but you may order them by calling us at 800-333-3330.

                Yes, the drawer does have a bracket inside to hold the items upright. We do not currently carry this style with a handle. The inside drawer dimensions are 23 1/4”D x 9 5/8”W x 4 1/4"H.

                Has about 8 slots w/a plastic piece to slide in and use as a divider. The catch is they only give you one divider per drawer.
