    I have no closet in my classroom and no money in my budget to spend on accommodating my winter coat. I do have a large metal cabinet so I searched the internet for a magnetic coat hanger, did my comparisions, and found this model. It hung easily and securely on the side of the cabinet. I hung my heavy wool coat and accessories on the hook and it held securely. I've only had it a few days, but it seems to be solidly built. So far, so good!

    I bought 2 of these hooks to use at work, one for my coat and one for my lab coat. After searching for some type of magnetic hook that could hold the weight of a coat on many other sites and finding nothing I was excited to find exactly what I wanted on Staples.com. When they first arrived I hung both on my door at home so I would not forget to bring them to work. I went out and when I came back one was lying on the floor. When I looked at the door I realized that the magnet was still there! The hook had been attached to the magnets by nothing but a thing layer of adhesive. I took both to work anyhow and sanded the back of the broken hook and re-attached the magnet with superglue. The next day I found the other hook similarly separated from the magnet and proceeded to re-attach it in the same way. So far they are holding and I hope they continue to do so since I haven't seen a similar product available. The magnet is as strong as they claim, and when it remains attached to hook it doesn't slide down under the weight of my coat.

          I use this at my ski locker to put it outside the locker when I'm getting ready to ski. Works great. The only problem I have is me -- when I forget and leave the hanger outside my locker and someone lifts it

                  Very strong magnet that is easy to "install" (put on metal surface, that is) and just generally all around useful. We use ours in the basement to hang our bathing suits on a metal cabinet. You can move it (raise or lower, or put it somewhere else), it just does what it is supposed to. Buying 2 more today.
