    Got this to "try" to keep my dad's crossword pens in a single place. The rubber, heavy bottom doesn't slip and slide around on the side table and it looks nice enough sitting beside the chair. The price was surprisingly modest, too. Very happy with this. AND!! It is made from recycled materials!

              I have one of these pencil holders on the table next to my chair where I do my handwork in the evenings. I keep my crochet hooks, a pen, a darning needle, my nail file and a few other odds and ends in it so they are within easy reach and stay organized. The rubber base on this pencil holder and the generous size is perfect for my use. My son has the same thing on his little desk in his room and keeps his pencils and pens in it. He's 8 and feels very grown up having his own desk and pencil holder!
