Overall, I am pleased with the drawers. Only two rather small annoyances. The pull out door is a little difficult to operate and the bar at the top that is supposed to be a stop does not stay in place. Pricewise, very good.

I purchased this file drawer to augment files I already had in my library and downstairs office. I did not have room in my library for an ugly full size filing cabinet and there were only two file drawers in my existing desk/credenza. But papers were piling up fast, so I bought one of these to help with the overflow, thinking that I could later bring it downstairs and either merge it with my existing files or use it for archival files. The one really nice feature is that it is easy to stack these units with the provided plastic "ears". I've already added a second drawer on top of the first and it is still presentable.
The negatives I find is that the unit is relatively expensive and if you place anything (like a couple of books) on top, the drawer will bind and not slide out easily. Also, the top of each unit has plastic ribs on top, so you do not have a smooth surface.

But the portability is great, and it was a great help in staying organized.

I purchased 5 of these file drawers last year for personal usage such as storage of important documents, magazines, receipts, etc. I was so impressed with how many files it held and how much weight it was able to hold, that I am going to purchase a few more for business use. One of my colleagues purchased several of these file drawers to store the toys she uses with her younger students.

I love these drawers. I use them in my craft/sewing room. The drawers are easy to open and close. I have my embroidery machine software, machine parts, books, notions, fabrics, etc, etc, etc in them. I have a second set with my stamps, inks, paints, etc in them. I have two sets of 8 and plan to get more.

Our goal is to change to filing and furniture that are easy to move and rearrange. I found this product in the 18" depth size and it has been great. The larger size would be too heavy for us to move. I hope to be able to purchase more of the 18" depth (not seen here) as we are ready to add more. One problem - if you do not connect the stacked files with the snap-on connectors, the file will tip when the drawer is pulled out too far. Our solution - to connect only the top two files in a stack of three, so we can keep the ability to rearrange their placement. Please tell me the 18" is still available.
