I wanted a small inexpensive picture frame that was easy to carry so I could show off recent photos. The frame had to be bigger than the LCD on my cameras (not hard to do) but not so big that it was difficult to carry around. The Sungale fit these requirements to a T. 7" is a perfect size and the price could not be beat.
I was able to display my pictures quickly: after inserting my camera SD card, I was able to view pictures right away. The interface was easy to figure out and I was able to navigate through my pictures with little trouble at all.
There were a few drawbacks to this device. First there was image ghosting: you can see an imprint of the previous photo on the screen. This was very noticeable if the previous picture was radically different from the current one.
The second issue was navigating through the different pictures when your memory card had a large number of photos. I could not easily find a way to quickly get to a specific photo. This was particularly frustrating if I wanted to get to photo #250 when the card held 500 photos. This product is more about giving a slideshow of all the photos then quickly displaying a particular photo.
Despite those flaws I am pleased with the product and it serves my purposes well.

I purchased this item for my mom so she can have pictures of all her family on her desk. She didn't have a lot of desk space. I was cute right out of the box. Then I tried to use it. I managed to figure out the controls between playing with it and reviewing the directions. Still wasn't easy and I'm fairly good at figuring things out. Then after 3 hours of it doing a slide show of the 7 pictures I loaded and the 4 pre-loaded pictures it started having problems. It would randomly rotate the pictures, including the pre-loaded ones. I also notice that it started having color pixel problems. The white bird all of a sudden started having red and blue on it. So I deleted the pictures I loaded and ran the pictures off of a flash drive. After 30 minutes it started randomly rotating the pictures again. I also notice that the it was having problems loading the pictures correctly.
I wouldn't recommend getting this unless you want to sped money on an item that will frustrate you. I'm already taking this one back..... too bad because had it worked I was going to buy two more for gifts.

set up was easy but after i loaded pictures using a flash drive and let it run for about 15mins the unit and the power cord were hot. The power plug is not marked as being UL listed so i wouldn't trust it.
My unit continued to flip/rotate my images so they were either sideways or upside down. I went into the menu a number of times to correct the images then watched the slideshow for the first loop but after that it would randomly rotate my images back to sideways or upside down. Also when I turned my unit on in the morning it would get a flash of snow then go blank. After I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in it worked fine except the changing images.
