The stapler keeps missing. sometimes I have to put the paper in 4 or 5 times before it actually staples.

I was a little daunted by the [$] price tag on this stapler. We got one that was a dud but it was quickly replaced and the new one has been working steadily for 2 years. No jams, no mechanical failure, no complaints.

These don't staple every time. They will skip about 3 tries and then staple which is very frustrating. They are smaller and more compact but also harder to see what you are stapling.
