Based on the other ratings, it sounds like we got the only one that works, but ours works great! It works so well that I am seriously considering getting another.
We have used cheaper electric staplers and they always broke under our extensive use. After six months, we find this stapler fast, easy-to-use, and easy to unjam.

First one I received could hardly staple 2 pages and then the staple had a gap, staples replaced the first one but the replacement lasted about 20 staples then stopped feeding the staples, so returning this one also and trying a different model. [...]

This expensive stapler broke just a few months after we bought it. We did not abuse it in any way, or even over-use it. I was very disappointed. It did not staple well, and it broke after a short period. Waste of money.

Used in stapling 300+ reports per night 5 days per week. We have 3 in constant use for the past 2 1/2 years. We just replaced one.

Easy to use. Good power.

5000 staple cartriges are expensive.
