Takes abuse and lasts for years!

We used this stapler for years in our shop to staple heavy duty vinyl samples together. It held up to a lot of abuse but finally gave up the ghost. Stapler still works, base broke! So we purchased another one and are hoping for additional years of use & abuse.

Made In China

Original stapler was replaced under warranty with an "updated" stapler. Many metal parts replaced with plastic parts. Rubber feet fell out within first few days of use. Staples would not come out when we needed to change sizes unless we smacked the stapler on a table to jarr them loose. Customer Service told me that I was "using the wrong size staples" and the stapler "was not intended for daily use", prompting me to access the manufacturers web site and read their own description of the product to the Rep I was speaking to. They were not going to replace the stapler which has a lifetime warranty until I did that. Pure junk, and I now have my doubts about other Acco/Swingline products. This stapler is pure junk, this 3rd replacement they almost did not send will be replaced by one made by another manufacturer when it breaks, probably in a few months or so.

at my job i do the supply ordering through our main purchasing department and i ended up getting this stapler as a replacement to another one. After a few uses by some employees, a staple got lodged thru the staple plate, bending the metal piece in the hole under the plate that the staples hit and it went through the plastic. i had to use pliers to rip the long staple out. couldn't fix the plate since it's permanently attached. now i can't use it and it's going back for another model.

We had this model stapler for over 10 years when one very small plastic piece broke that held the staples in the cartridge. We liked the stapler model so much we bought the exact same model and actually use both as the original still works with some duct tape holding the staples in their cartridge. You just have to remove the tape when it is time to reload the staples. This is a very durable, powerful stapler because it is made mostly of metal not cheap plastic.

Worked prety good for a year, then started jamming frequently, then nearly all the time, finally busted a pin even though it was a metal pin. not sure if there is anything better to handle the large size stapling we would like to do but think we will try a different brand this time.
