We used this for average office use. After 8 months the middle punch jammed up and we can't fix it. Call me old-fashioned, but I expect something considered to be "heavy duty" to last for more than 8 months. Warranty is for only 3 months. Swingline's web site has no section for trouble shooting. On the minimal instructions included with product, they just tell us to buy a new punch head[...] Bummer.

This goes through thick stacks of documents like butter. For the first few times you use it put a scrap piece of paper on the top so that the oil in the punches doesn't get on your report. I wish I had this punch years ago. Great product.

This is a terrific, powerful, ergonomic hole-puncher, which I recommend without hesitation. My only little complaint is that, once it has been opened for use, the handle can no longer be folded down for storage, so it needs a lot of space. Still, if you do a lot of hole-punching, this is your best choice from what I've seen on the market.

Used this punch for many years at a previous job, was great, very easy to use. Bought another one when moved to new job, but after 4 months the middle punch jammed and now that piece just hangs there doing nothing. No product support from Swingline. I hate to give it only 3 stars because it is perfect when it works, but breaking 4 months in is not acceptable. I didn't have this problem with the last one I used for many years of the same model.

The paper glide doesn't really set or lock, it slides too easily & shifts while in use.
If you use too much pressure on the punch arm, the whole unit tips over.
