My old touch stapler broke after I dropped it and I was looking for a replacement. This was not a good replacement! Its very heavy and stiff! In order to staple something you have to press pretty hard to get it to close on the paper.

I ended up replacing it with another one - the swingline rechargeable which is very nice although a bit expensive.

Instructions for loading staples SHOULD FIGURE PROMINENTLY ON PACKAGING! We broke the stapler trying to load it.

The flat clinch is nice, but it wouldn't always close the staple completely on less than five sheets, causing the staple to catch on other items. I tried several others (of this model) in the store and they all had the same problem. Returned item and got a traditional clinch stapler.
