It's true that it accepts slightly less than a full clip of staples; I don't consider this a problem.

For those who complain that it's "heavy," I call it "substantial" & expect it to prove more durable than most.

The flat clinch is nice, but it wouldn't always close the staple completely on less than five sheets, causing the staple to catch on other items. I tried several others (of this model) in the store and they all had the same problem. Returned item and got a traditional clinch stapler.

These staplers are hard to push down as the Optima 70 has an easy touch so I was disappointed in them.

My old touch stapler broke after I dropped it and I was looking for a replacement. This was not a good replacement! Its very heavy and stiff! In order to staple something you have to press pretty hard to get it to close on the paper.

I ended up replacing it with another one - the swingline rechargeable which is very nice although a bit expensive.
