Not Recommended

When it works, this model works beautifully. We typically use it only for our monthly newsletters (1000 copies plus or minus, stapled 3 times). Our office has been through *4* (original and 3 replacements), because the plastic parts aren't durable. I'm not sure of the technical term for the plastic-grip piece that you use to push in and out the staple carrier, but it tends to break off since the plastic chips away near the screws. I'm not so sure if I believe in Swingline's "100% Performance Guarantee" anymore.

I staple 800-1000 bulletins for mailing each month. Normally the staple area on stacks gets bulky & out of hand.
This stapler flattens the staples to the point that there is almost no added bulk thickness in the staple area.
I'm sure the post office appreciates it even more than I do.

This stapler works great for 20 pages or so, but using standard size staples in an electronic stapler purported to staple 45 pages doesn't happen. I have never been able to staple more than 23 pages and if you turn the 23 pages over and look at the staple, it's barely clipping the pages. I stacked 45 sheets of paper together and took a bar of the staples and placed it next to the pages and 45 pages is TALLER than the staples themselves! Only buy this product if you routenely staple 20 pages or so, otherwise you will be dissapointed.

I purchased this stapler two months ago and have had nothing but problems ever since. The stapler jams when the number of staples gets to the end of the line. Constantly rips pages and documents. Cheaply made and plastic pieces bend. This is my second and last Swingline electric stapler. I will not buy another one.
