Love the feature, but sometimes fussy

Great feature where you can just stack paper, close the lid and walk away. However, the plastic construction, I thought was somewhat flimsy. It was not really expensive, but I thought I could be better made. It it light weigh and easy to setup, but once I get it setup I don't need to move it that often. So, better construction will suit me better, rather than portability. I get the feeling that it will not be as durable as I want it to be (i.e. lasting more than a few years, the previous one that died prior to this purchase lasted more than 10 years.)

I also thought that it could use a "bin full" indicator to let me know that I need to dump the paper bin. During the first week of purchase, I had to wonder why it stopped working, all of a sudden... only to realize out that I need to dump out the shredded paper. Duh! Once I dump the paper from the bin, it started to work again.

If you have a stack of paper that you need to shred, but do not want to just sit there feeding the paper 5 to 10 sheets at a time like a conventional shredder, this is a good bet. I thought the shredding speed was a little slow, but at least I can walk away and do other things while this thing does its job.

One word of caution - it says "60 sheet" capacity on the box, but I have not been able to reliably stack more than 30 or so pages at a time. Don't get your hopes up that you can shred a massive amount of paper all at once. Anything more than that, it tends to jam. Once it jams, it was difficult to clear the jam.

Even though its lack of capacity to handle more than 30 or so is annoying, it is still better than just sitting there and feeding the paper.

It has been a great tax season companion!

The only good thing is that this shredder is quiet. If all you're doing is shredding flat pieces of paper, this will work for you. I thought this shredder would save so much time, until I got home, read the instructions and it explains it will only shred flat, unwrinkled paper in the stack function. It has not saved me time at all. Most of what I want to shred is mail, which even if I feed it through the top, it won't take a whole piece of mail without jamming unless I rip the contents out first. Even when doing everything correctly, I've already had to clear the stack function for jams at least 6 times since I bought it yesterday. I hope the store will take it back and I'll buy a better shredder. This is a great idea, but needs to be improved. Don't fall for how awesome it seems on the video. I did, and have buyers remorse. My old shredder from 5 years ago worked better than this one.

Bought this in the store, like it alot. Was able to shred alot in one loading. Packing was good,not hard to get into. The shredder is small and fits under my home office desk.

Great shredder for the price. The single feed is a little unusual...you have to push the paper in about halfway before it grabs on to it.

No overheating so not sure what those reviews are all about and have been using for days. Got rid of a lot of stuff and plan on clearing out my home office for tax time. A little loud on my harwood so I put a throw rug under it and it is great.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS SHREDDER. I HAD TO HOLD IT DOWN TO SHREDD. IT DID NOT SHREDD AUTOMAATICLY FOR ME. I RETURNED IT TO THE STORE.
I HATED IT, I WAS LOOKING FOR A NEW SHREDDER, BUT THIS WAS NOT WHAT I WANTED AT ALL.
