One day and I HATE IT!

The only good thing is that this shredder is quiet. If all you're doing is shredding flat pieces of paper, this will work for you. I thought this shredder would save so much time...Read complete review

The only good thing is that this shredder is quiet. If all you're doing is shredding flat pieces of paper, this will work for you. I thought this shredder would save so much time, until I got home, read the instructions and it explains it will only shred flat, unwrinkled paper in the stack function. It has not saved me time at all. Most of what I want to shred is mail, which even if I feed it through the top, it won't take a whole piece of mail without jamming unless I rip the contents out first. Even when doing everything correctly, I've already had to clear the stack function for jams at least 6 times since I bought it yesterday. I hope the store will take it back and I'll buy a better shredder. This is a great idea, but needs to be improved. Don't fall for how awesome it seems on the video. I did, and have buyers remorse. My old shredder from 5 years ago worked better than this one.

Set-up was very easy meaning all you had to do was plug it in and start shredding. The multi-sheet feeder works well if you can keep the number of pages less than 15. I was able to shred 30 pages several times in succession but I had to allow the motor to cool before trying to shred two more sets of 30 pages. The single sheet feeder works well with two to three sheets at a time or single sheets of thicker items like jun k mail flyers or thin card board. I have not tried shredding credit cards or anything with staples since that is just asking for trouble. Overall a very good shredder that does 90% of what it advertises fairly well.

I picked this shredder because it has a small footprint. The smallish volume of the hopper wasn't a big drawback to me because my intended use was for home. The stack & shred feature sounded brilliant. Problem is that it just doesn't work! This shredder jams constantly and is more of a frustration than a time saver. Although it looks brand new because I haven't used it much, I've had it for too long to return for credit. I will however get some satisfaction throwing it very hard into the dumpster.

Having not had a schredder for several months it is really great not to have to use the sizzors any more. It works well is quiet and really gets the job done. I am still trying to figure out all the features, but my husband who actually purchased it is really enjoying it.
