As someone who lives in a brick house, with a layout that is not conducive to clear wifi transmission, this has worked extremely well as a solution for our poorly placed wireless router.

The actual install was ridiculously simple, at least for what we use it for. I literally connected the router to the base, plugged in the base, and plugged in the remote transmitter. Done. Clear signal passing through to the router, and it uses the copper in the walls as the transmission conduit. TP Link recommends against connecting through power strip, as that can inhibit the signal, which makes sense.

This was one of the fastest and simplest installs of technology I've experienced, hands down. The performance has been excellent. I admit I like that the transmitter pulls from a cabled connection, so that it relies on a more consistent signal [more consistent than straight wifi].

If you need to get signal into a hard to reach area [or even into several - you can connect up to 7 extenders] [you won't need that many unless you are hooking up multiple floors in a signal insulated building] this is easily the best solution.

Do you want a new Wi-Fi network for every room? If so, you're in luck. After receiving the product (which nonetheless works amazingly), I unboxed it, using much less fanfare than the fancy phone that all the kids want this year.

After unboxing, I checked out the instructions, which turned out to be a very easy-to-read picture guide--few words (which is nice for original setup).

Now that I have hooked up this device (mostly for the intent of using it in my detached garage/backyard--plugging it into the wall where it will still get a signal), I go outside to find that I have great signal... From a new network.

So, I think to myself, this could be a problem. I now will have to set up for automatic connection to two networks, hoping my phone and laptop will connect to the stronger network. But wait! The back of the instructions say "Mirror your Wi-Fi Network!"

If original set up was easy, this shouldn't be too much of a problem--hit the WPS button... followed by the button needed to sync Wi-Fi networks. Simple, no?

No. This is where the shortness of instructions come in detrimental to my success using this product. Three simple steps -or- manual setup. After going through the automatic process, unsuccessfully, I tried the manual setup. Oh, I can create a duplicate name and password, while still having disparate networks? No thanks.

But... Don't let the aforementioned story scare you away.

Call it product-based Stockholm Syndrome, but I gave up trying to make the most out of one unified network, and connected to the second network in some parts of the house, and original network in others. Both networks work incredibly well, just not as originally planned upon opening the box.

POSITIVE NOTES
-Easy to Set Up
-Simple, easy to read instructions
-A few button presses from a second network
-Works to description
-meets or exceeds my needs for speed

NEGATIVE NOTES
-Instructions too simple to answer questions
-Why does anyone want a second network?
-Manual setup throws simplicity to the wind

OTHER NOTES
-Requires WPS Button (I have it--Others may not. Actually, even with a WPS button, the setup didn't work to plan. Just a note if your router doesn't hae one)
Disclaimer: I received this product free. This, however, is my honest opinion after using the product.

I didn't really know what to expect with this product. It was easy to open and set up right away. The instructions were some what clear. I am using this to connect my Bluray player to the internet so that I can stream Netflix and Amazon Prime. I couldn't make sense of the instructions to set up a new wireless network, but that doesn't matter as I didn't need a new wireless setup. Right now I only have this connected between two adjacent rooms, so I don't have to run an ethernet cable on the floor or through the wall of my house. I think I need to see if this will work on the second floor so it is a little further away.

        Decent Wifi Extender

If you are looking for a wifi extender, this one gets the job done.

It came easy out of the box, easy to assemble and set up. The instructions were very clear on how to set up this extender in multiple ways, but I chose to simply have this repeat the signal in my room.

It did extend my wifi, but one thing you should probably know is that a wifi extender, such as this one, can only do so much. The signal was a bit weaker, and downloads of course were slower in comparison to the normal wifi signal, but if you live in a big house and don't have the luxury of an extra ethernet port to plug in another wifi router, than this would definitely be a great choice for you.

I did receive this product free to test and review, but if I was in the market to buy an extender, I would probably buy this one. If it produced a stronger signal, somehow, it would be the perfect product!

I recieved this product for free to review. I was excited because I lose wi-fi signal on certain areas of my property. I thought the explanation and text on the packaging was somewhat confusing and the directions even more so. Does the adapter have to be on the same circuit as the Extender? I don't know. I followed the directions and still could not notice any gain in signal strength.

I received a free sample of this product to review and found it to be helpful. I live in a large house and my tenant (who lives furthest away from the house's router) shared that the wireless signal is significantly stronger in her suite (the device is plugged in closer to where she stays).

In terms of setup, it was relatively easy to install and seems compatible with our Comcast home wireless system.

I didn't know that this solution existed, but I'm glad it does and appreciate that it helps strengthen our wireless signal for everyone living in our home.

I received a sample of this product for review, but the opinion here is my own. Setup wasn't too painful compared to a lot of networking products out there, but it was a little more involved than the advertised single button setup since my router does not have a WPS button.

Overall, I found the product to be good overall with no noticeable impact to my network speed. While it can extend the range of your home wireless network, I personally found the ethernet output to be extremely useful, as I have a satellite tv box that is not close to my router that needs a wired connection to receive on demand content.

On the down side, it does not yet support 802.11ac.
