I bought the Targus AC Laptop Charger because my computer was not keeping charged, I figured it was either time for a new computer or something else was wrong with it. Now I have had my computer for 6 years and it is probable time for an upgrade but at this present time I am not financally able to buy a new computer, so I took my computer with me when I went to Staples and ask the computer guy if he would be able to help me and I had explained to him that I had borrowed a friends computer and she also included her charger so I thought I would give the charger a try. I told him that her charger was charging my computer and I was able to get online so I thought all I needed was a charger that would work with my computer. He did some checking and sure enough I needed a new charger, so he suggested the Targus Charger which is working wonderfully at keeping my computer charged.

I can not speak to this product's use, since I will have to return it. Although listed as compatible with Fujitsu equipment, it is not compatible with the A550 laptop.

I am disappointed, not with the product, but with its compatibility.

I am attaching photos of the "P" tip (red) that is supposed to be compatible and of the Fujitsu supplied charger tips.

I bought the Targus AC Laptop Charger because my computer was not keeping charged, I figured it was either time for a new computer or something else was wrong with it.     when the old charger started smoking, it was time for a change - and quickly!
    How fast and convenient it was to walk into the store and find this charger hanging on the hook. installation was just as simple. Select the proper fitting tip, attach it and the computer was up and running again! As they say in the commercial - that was easy!

      I was having alot of problems with my computer and all along it had to be my power adapter, once I got the new one it was like having a new computer, and I had problems after the first 6 months after buying the computer.

        The unit is probably great, but the connection end needs to improve, if the connection was straight it would be better. The way it is now you have to angle it to connect to the laptop.

        UNIVERSAL IT IS NOT!!!!
        You NEED to call Targus to determine if it compatible with YOUR laptop. If it is not you VOID the warranty. Should you buy a new laptop this may not work with your new computer. If you loan it to someone be sure they verify it is compatible. It's a 19.5V charger. REALLY it's not compatible with every 19.5V laptop out there!!!!!!!!!!
        I have 3 laptops and I'm guessing one of them blow the charger after only 2 weeks.
        I would not recommend this to someone I don't even like.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
