The Targus 100W Slim Line Mobile Inverter is designed for the mobile professional or recreational user. It provides a power source for most electrical devices in RVs, cars, airplanes or boats. Simply plug it into the cigarette lighter plug or into the airplane seat power plug and power or charge up to two devices. It features built-in surge protection, one 120V AC plug, one USB port and can deliver 100W of continuous and 150W of peak power. It is safe to use and features over-current, overtemperature and surge protection. The Targus exclusive slim design and light weight makes it ideal for travel.

    I got this to use to both recharge my cell while running the laptop while working on the run. Great power management, since my old one will trip the break switch every so often. So I would have to press the reset on the inverter. Overall a compact, efficient unit. Pricey but you get what you pay for. One thing to change, the fan is a little noisy. There are fans that size that are more quieter.

    This device makes a constant, loud, high-pitched whine, because it uses a tiny cooling fan that must be spun at high RPM to be effective. While in use, it sounds as if you have a mosquito inside your ear. Road noise at highway speeds and a loud radio are not enough to mask the noise.

          Works exactly as advertised, maybe even a little better. Purchased to keep a bank of commercial 2-way hand-held radios charged while on a job, I only expected it to have enough capacity to charge 3 at a time, turns out it can charge 6 at a time no problem. It is a little noisy when under load, which is to be expected, and it wasnt really all that distracting.
