The Targus 100W Slim Line Mobile Inverter is designed for the mobile professional or recreational user. It provides a power source for most electrical devices in RVs, cars, airplanes or boats. Simply plug it into the cigarette lighter plug or into the airplane seat power plug and power or charge up to two devices. It features built-in surge protection, one 120V AC plug, one USB port and can deliver 100W of continuous and 150W of peak power. It is safe to use and features over-current, overtemperature andsurge protection. The Targus exclusive slim design and light weight makes it ideal for travel.

I don't own a car, but when used on road trips, this unit is handy for myself and everyone else in the car. I used this an 14 hour road trip to keep my iPhone and laptop fully charged. Using a small power strip, I was able to keep 2 other phones charged as well.

The unit is small and light-weight enough to carry in my back pack if I think I'll be using my computer in a car for an extended period.

Most power units like this can become very hot, so make sure it's well ventilated. There is also a somewhat noisy fan built in to keep it cool(er) - it wasn't distracting, but is noticeable when no radio is on. (not a deal breaker though(

The product works. It even charges my laptop while using it. I have a high end Mac laptop and some chargers won't charge it while using it. This one actually does. The only con I have is that it is noisy. I had the laptop plugged in while on a long road trip so my kids could watch movies. I could actually hear the fan running. I wish it were quieter.

I used this product on a trip from IA to MN and it worked great. The only thing is it can get real hot with extended use but it did not seem to effect its ability to function well. I would recommend this product for anyone with a 17" inch computer because of the ampage. Great Product!

I use it to power my laptop and GPS in my service van. Fits in a small space and works with no problems. The fan is a little loud but the radio compensates for that.
