The Targus Compact Laptop Charger is half the size and weight of typical AC chargers on the market today. Ideal for travel, this AC charger includes 9 laptop tips and one mini-USB tip for cell phones, cameras or other compatible devices. Easily power or charge a laptop and one additional item such as a camera, cell phone or MP3 player at the same time. For added convenience the charger plugs directly into the wall and the AC prongs rotate 180 degrees, allowing the user to plug the charger into a power strip without blocking other outlets. The prongs also lie flat for added portability. The thin, lightweight cord packs quickly and easily and includes an elastic band for cord management. The integrated tip storage clips onto the power cord so tips stay with the charger and are readily available when needed. I left home without my charger and needed my computer. A stop at Staples and a very helpful individual found a charger that would work, but he didn't just sell it, he tried it out on my computer to make certain that it would work for me. It was a bit more than I had intended to spend, but it has been worth every penny. I take it everywhere with me now -- so much more compact than the charger that came with my netbook!

Don't waste your money

- Charger end doesn't fit snugly into adapter - have to repeatedly wrap and rewrap with electrical tape to make it hold.

- Can't take battery out because of the above - need battery in for when it unplugs itself so don't go off-line.

- Cord too short.

        This a really good charger for the price. It come with multiple charger tips for laptops. It doesn't come with the tips for most current phones etc. you have to buy then at the targus website. I have had issues with some devices like the Sierra wireless wifi, but solved it with an adapter cable. Haven't found a device I can't charge by using the tips that came with it, bought at the website or using adapter cables. I got the iPhone tip, USB tip and micro USB tip from website.

        I've been looking for a compact portable charger for a while now. My family and I mainly use it for work/school/business. Since we all have different laptop models, it has been very convenient for all of us to use this product. It is mostly compact and easy to carry around-- especially useful for my daughter (college student) who is constantly on the run. She keeps her main charger at home and often carries this one to school. The only thing I don't like is that it feels a bit flimsy and the cords+other component adds some bulk to the otherwise compact design.
