The Travel Chill Mat easily fits in a laptop case or backpack making it perfect for travel!

The Targus Travel Chill Mat provides a comfortable and ergonomic work surface to keep you and your laptop cool. The Chill Mat rests on your lap and disperses heat, using dual fans to provide ventilation which can be obstructed if the laptop is used on a pillow or comforter. The ergonomic tilt makes typing easy while the soft neoprene material provides cushioned comfort on your lap. The open design allows fans to run quietly and stimulates constant airflow. Four rubber stops on the face of the Chill Mat prevents the laptop from slipping during use. To activate cooling, simply plug the USB connector into the laptop. No additional power source is needed. The Travel Chill Mat is sized specifically for travel, making it easy to carry in a laptop case or backpack whether traveling for work, school or pleasure.

    I got this chill mat because my 6 month old Toshiba Laptop had a fan failure, and I could not be without it for the 2 weeks that it would take to send back to Toshiba for warranty repair. The chill mat is compact and light, and solved my temporary problem. It is also very quiet. The only issue I had was that I had to balance the laptop on the Chill pad, as it is half size, but after experimenting with the proper placement, there was no problem, unless I accidently sharply push my laptop. My laptop fan was finally replaced, but I keep the chill pad ready in case I have another problem. I highly recommend the travel chill pad.

    This cooler is less than 1/4 the size of my old one. My old one was awkward to pack. This one fits nicely in my laptop case. It does an adequate job of cooling my laptop. My only problem with it is that my laptop keeps sliding off and I need to reposition it on the cooler.

                            The mat is 11.75 inches long. Your laptop will balance nicely.
                            The fans are very quiet. You can hear them but it is more like white noise.
                            The mat is adjustable. You can place your laptop anywhere on the pad; adjust the mat and laptop to where you are comfortable. I have mine adjusted to raise the back of the laptop 1.5 inches.
