When I couldn't find the cord that came with it, it was easy to find a cord that worked (usually every item has such unique plugs that you're done if you misplace a cord). It did a great job of keeping everything cool sitting right on the bedspread in the hotel. It regulates itself well (when I move the unit with laptop off my lap to a table, the fans adjust instantly to the circumstances). Even if you don't plug it in, it works nicely as a lapboard for a laptop because of the double level and all the little holes (stays cooler than having the laptop directly in lap).

I bought this product with the belief that it was going to be a superior product compared to others that I have purchased in the past. I also wanted to have one for my office and this one for my home. I was initially very very satisfied with the laptop cooler but as it was in use for a few days there began to be a low pitched him or whine coming from it. It is not terrible but due to the fact that I get ringing in the ears, this only contributes to it. If it were not for that minor irritation I would rate the product as a five star piece of equipment.

    This product is still rather new AND it has a year's warranty. So far, it is quiet and does a great job cooling my laptop! :) I wouldn't be without one now that I know the difference between using a simple lap board and this cooling unit. I suspect it will lengthen the life of my laptop.
