I bought this to use in bed after my abdominal surgery. I'm so glad I did!

Let's start with the negatives:

The pole adjusts the height with a button that pops open in a hole. This gives the pole wiggle room. I can hold the table top and wiggle it (turning like a lazy susan) about 3/4"-1". It doesn't cause a problem. I just wish it were completely solid.

Not heavy enough for a small desktop unit (but then, that's not what it's made for). If you have small children who like to pull themselves up on things, this would not be the best table for you.

The pole may not go low enough to comfortably work from a couch or living room chair where you sit lower to the ground.

I wish the right side table and lower caster bar were a little longer, allowing it to slide further over and under the bed, more like a hospital room tray does. But, for the price, it does the job.

When my son started putting it together, he got a couple things backwards and had to redo it. HINT: Install the guards on the side OPPOSITE the sticker on the table. Install the bracket on the sitcker side.

This item was not available in Staples stores. Boo. Hiss. Even if the stores don't carry an item in stock, they should at least have a floor model we can look at before buying online.

Now for the positives:

After comparing prices on the Internet for 2 months, I found this to be the best deal for me. I found many similar tables, with mixed reviews, that cost more than twice what I paid for this one.

The size is perfect for me to use while reclining on my bed, sitting on the side of my bed and sitting in an office chair in my craft room.

It is easily to move around. To use in another room, I need only to unplug the laptop power supply, wheel the table where I want it, and plug the laptop back in. So convenient!

Both table tops adjust separately. I have the right table top adjusted for typing on my laptop. The left table top can be straight to hold my cup of tea or titled at an exaggerated angle so that I can read a document while typing.

Despite the wiggle, this table is plenty sturdy enough for my laptop use and I would definitely recommend it to the frugal shopper looking for a portable laptop table.

I wanted to sit less to reduce strain on my lower back. This stand works well.

When I first assembled the stand the springy button that holds the column at different heights had NO spring, and the stand always collapsed to its lowest position. The manufacturer emailed instructions with very clear photographs showing how to look down the center column and realign the spring so that the button works correctly.

Overall, I'm happy with this unit. It allows me to stand up and work on my laptop. The stand is light and strong, the work surface (2 pieces) is easy to adjust. You can easily lock and unlock the casters with your feet. Also,the design is very stylish compared to other similar products. I'd give it a 5-star rating if the craftmanship of the two boards were better, but the price would go up, too.

I bought it because I know it's unhealthy to sit at my computer desk for hours, and using a laptop on the lap isn't a fun thing to do for the hands, arms, and neck. If you have to use a laptop at home and you have pains from doing so, this product may offer you some help.

I have spent a long time looking for a table tall enough to use in bed. I love to read or work on my computer there. Nothing has fit the bill until I found this table. It is great. It really works well. It moves best by moving from an end, as well as checking the wheel locks=:~) if it isn't moving well..... Because that is probably why.

My laptop always gets buried on my desk, or my desk is so full my laptop slides around. So I bought this little stand for my laptop as a dedicated spot to put it - I can go desk to desk around the office with it and have my laptop right there with me. I also plan to use it as a podium since it's height is adjustable and the top can be angled or flat - however I want it. It moves easily on our carpet in the office and it isn't too heavy. Since it isn't heavy, I don't know that I would trust too much weight on it, but I bought it for my laptop with a mouse on the side so its PERFECT!!

My Bed is too low to the floor, to use it there,
but can use it everywhere else.
