I was curious what the material the surface was made out of and did a google search. I found that the surface (PVC) is not so chemically friendly. Not the (greenest) material, so that was the only problem. Also one screw did take about a hour of fussing with to get it in. Every thing else was perfect.

This desk was perfect for my son's room. It has a smaller design, yet has plenty of space for everything he needed it for. We didn't add on the bottom shelf for the desktop computer so it made it even slimmer. He absolutely loves it and we shopped online to several stores...Its perfect.

Main desk is large for a space-saving workstation. You can use the bottom shelf for the CPU tower and save width by not using the side CPU shelf.

Can the printer shelf be raised up a bit to accomodate a slightly larger monitor than the stock opening will allow? Monitor is about 1/2" taller than opening. Was considering using washers under each of the 4 corners of the shelf.
