I would've paid a lot more for this desk than the current price. I LOVED that it came with 'real' screws & nuts and not any of those 'twist-lock' things that never lock tight enough; the real screws/nuts allow for the desk to fit tighter. The desk is solid and it is reversible so you can have the L-shape either way; I left off the keyboard tray as I don't like them. Assembly was relatively easy & included good directions but would be good to have two people for the job.

I was looking for a simple, relatively lightweight L-shaped desk. I saw this one elsewhere priced quite a bit higher and balked, but Staples has a good price so I took the plunge. Unfortunately, my experience with the desk has been sub-par.

First, the sizing information on the Staples website is incorrect - or at best, very misleading. The keyboard tray can not hold both a keyboard and mouse - not a problem for some, but an ergonomic nightmare for others like myself. While the site says the "keyboard shelf" is 31", the keyboard tray is more like 24". What they consider the shelf, I have no idea.

As for the construction itself: The desk tops do not entirely sit flush, and the keyboard tray doesn't always come out all the way on both sides. The laminate was slightly damaged in transit, and is already bending & peeling in those spots.

Overall, it's a good concept for a simple computer desk with poor followthrough. I had a "professional furniture assembler" do the work, and he said it went together with relative ease.

I purchased this desk for my son. We both liked the design and look of the desk. I have put together many desks and stands before without my husband's help (my choosing). I have to say this was the best labeled and organized unit I have ever put together. Everything lined up perfectly. Even the screws and bolts were in their own labeled bag. Most units put all screws and bolts in one bag and provide a diagram with size chart for you to sort out yourself. I know there is a chance that the laminate may get scraped due to my son not being careful but then I would have to spend a lot more for a solid wood construction!!! Much more!!!! My husband and I have a solid wood desk for ourselves. Desk looks great in his den.

I use this product for 2 computers which I use for personal use as well as for online school. I primarily use this with my laptop for business; all systems are connected to a convenient 4-port KVM switch with dual LCD monitors.

Arrived in great shape, easy to follow directions and assembly. Loved the dark wood material and metal legs design. The keyboard is very comfortable and big enough. Fit perfect in my corner space of the office. Overall very satisfied!
