I bought this desk to reorganize my home office. I bought it to put in a corner, to maximize space. The directions don't really say how, but you can have the long desk to the left of the monitor/keyboard desk if you would prefer that set-up. [...]no additional tools were needed.

My son and I had it assembled in about an hour. The directions and pictures were very clear and items were clearly numbered. I chose to put the shorter end of the desk on the right side and I love it. The desk is very sturdy and does a great job of housing my PC and other office supplies. And BTW, one of my glass pieces had a small chip and I went to the manuf. website and they sent me a free replacement in about three days. The desk has a way of making a room appear larger while meeting my needs of a home office.

I cannot assemble the product, as there were no instructions or a packing list in the 2 packages I received. I don't even know if I have all the parts. Unacceptable.

Service and delivery comments:

Our delivery was prompt, however, the packages were received on two separate days. First day we received the box with all the glass. The three pieces of strapping had ripped through the box, and the end of the box was dangling open. Luckily the glass was intact. No instructions or packing list in the box. Second day, the rest (we think) of the desk arrived in a HUGE (2.5' x 2.5') square box. The items were not packed in any kind of packing material, metal pieces free floating in the box, including the keyboard tray, with no protection. The two longer pieces of tubing didn't fit in the box, and whoever packed it shoved them out the side of the box (yes shoved them right through the side) where they were sticking out at least 4 inches. Again, luckily not bent. Still no instructions or packing list. The UPS driver, left a small package of screws on the box, and wrote a note on the box, "did these fall out of yesterday's shipment"? How would I know, when I don't have a packing list or the instructions?

I am truly disppointed in this delivery. I've remodeled my home office, and cannot get it up and running until the packing list/instructions arrive. I will not order from Staples online again, but will stick to the retail store. This was not up to Staples usual good service. Unacceptable. I hope to recieve the packing list/instructions today by email, or I'm bringing the item to the nearest retail outlet to demand a refund.

First, I began setting up the metal frame part of the desk and right before I was about attach the glass top, the corner tube piece didn't fit. Only three screws could be attached and the fourth opening wasn't even at the correct position to screw the nail in! Then I decided to take a look at the glass tabletops only to find that the glass for the corner shattered (literally into hundreds of pieces!). Now I have tiny glass pieces all over my carpet. I decided to call the manufacturing company to receive replacement parts but no one picked up after 3 phone calls and over 10 rings! There wasn't even a voice message explaining the business hours or anything.[...]

Easy to assemble (even includes screwdriver and spare screws). Solid feel. Shows dust like any glass desk. Can't get glass to shine quite as well as I'd like so far, might just be me but looks like there's a subtle haze on the glass. [...]

Hard to assemble, pieces don't quite fit together right and it feels flimsy, the heavy glass rests on flimsy stand. Then the screw holes aren't in the right places for the corner piece and I just ended up giving it away in parts.
