I am a math tutor and recommend this calculator for all parents to buy their kids, no matter what math level. I own 8 of them myself. It is wonderful for conversions between fractions (improper & mixed) and decimals (percents too). With the 2-line display, the kids can check that they entered a problem correctly and can compare the answer at the same time. It encourages kids to understand the use of parentheses in order to do order of operations and multiple operations in one step on the calculator. I also recommend it for advanced students because even a graphing calculator won't show the answer in the form of a mixed fraction, but this calculator makes it quite easy.

I got this calculator along with the TI-36X Solar and the Casio FX-115ES to see which one I liked best for the FS Exam (I'm not an HP guy). Its a good basic calculator and I do like the easy access to the separate memory variables but I recommend spending a few more dollars and going with the TI-36X Solar or the Casio FX-115ES. The degrees minutes seconds input on this calculator is clunky and hard to use for fast angle calculations which is important on the Survey Exam. I have used all three calculators while taking my practice exam and have found myself liking the Casio the best.

This product is great to use in computing Math problems. It has a great feature that allows you to add a long list of numbers and if you mess up, you can erase just that number, and continue with the addition of the previous numbers.

I havent played with this calculator much. So far all is good; Hopefully I will be able to somehow change to a darker or bolder contrast. Its kind of lighter fonts compared to standard calculator by default. Hoping to change it somehow; otherwise should be good.
