This item was bought because my granddaughter was required to have it for the ninth grade class she is taking. This item would not have been bought if not needed for a school class. We are on hard times and this item was much too expensive.

Comments about Texas Instruments® TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator:

I purchased the Texas Instruments-84 calculator for my algebra two class and future SAT's. It is very helpful, although it may not have the prettiest appearance and may be a little bit bulky, it is very helpful with my classes and has a wide variety of use. I would definitely recommend this calculator and if you are looking for a better looking calculator you could always get the Texas Instruments-85 silver edition. Also you can find a Texas Instruments for dummies book to help you operate the calculator and learn shortcuts.

Comments about Texas Instruments® TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator:

Excellent graphing calculator! Any student in a math class higher than Algebra will benefit from this calc. Most are familiar with the popular TI-83, this is a better calc for a difference of $20. i have never used the added software, but the updated calculation software is very useful in solving logarithmic equations. The price is high for most to stomach, but when put into perspective..... Smart phones cost $500-$600, this cost $100-$130.
