Bought it from Staples for the move from Queens, New York City to Overland Park, Kansas; about 1300 miles move. The GPS acquisition is normal at start up which is about a minute. However, the reroute function is extremely fast. It takes less than a second to reroute. So much faster than my old TomTom One 3rd Edition. With the old ones, if I miss a turn, by the time it plans a new route for me, I'm already 5 blocks away from the new route I'm supposed to take. Extremely frustrating in a big city like New York where there is a block every 150 feet. With this 1505TM GPS, I no longer have to worry about that and trust this GPS to completely to guide me. It even works in underwater tunnels; Holland Tunnel in New York. So, if you are under an overpass or under a bridge, you don't need to concern yourself about GPS signals getting lost. With the street name announcement, I now know the exact location to turn without having to look at the GPS screen again for which road to turn. For me, turn right on Broadway Street is so much better than turn right in 300 yards, especially when there is a fork on that turn or where there are 2 streets so close to each other. It might be because I'm bad at mentally measuring distance; is it about 300 yards already? You know what I mean. The arrival time estimation is dead on, give or take 5 minutes. Now, I can confidently call and tell my friends/customers/family when I will be there. The advance lane guidance is also a great feature. I don't have to worry about if I'm in the correct lane. With the lifetime traffic and map, you just can't go wrong. In addition, this will pay for itself if you live on East Coast where there are tolls everywhere. One time, I drove from New York to Washington DC with this GPS (I trip I have done hundreds of times) and decided to let it avoid the tolls. I haven't paid a dime on driving according to this GPS. And the route is extremely different and saves me more time too. Even Google maps couldn't manage to do that for me; I paid a tiny toll of less than $5. All in all, if you are looking for a GPS, or even contemplating about getting one, buy this. You will not regret it. With this GPS, I'm driving safely and confidently without having to put a backup map in the car.

I like it just isn't working like I was expecting it to. I have added more missing POIs and corrected the ones that were on there. I thought it was suppose to be up to date. I put stuff on there that's in my area that's been around 15 years or longer. I don't know about the other brands but just not happy with Tomtom. There could have been other features added that would make this a good product but the major issue is getting me there the QUICKEST and best route, but sometimes it don't take me the way that is most direct and at other times it takes me places 20 miles from the real destination.

I DRIVE A CHARTER BUS FOR A LIVING. DEPEND ON MY GPS TO GET ME AND MY PASSENGERS WHERE WE NEED TO GO, AND THE 1505TM DOES THIS. NOW IF THEY COULD ADD "TRUCKS" TO CARS, BIKES AND WALKING TO KEEP ME AWAY FROM LOW OVERPASSES, IT WOULD BE PERFECT!

Tomtom's free life-time map update crushed my computer's internet which broken my computer's network interface card. it's website and instruction for downloading life-time map is absolutely not user friendly and hard to use. Be careful crushes your internet.
