It is not worth it since the map is out dated. The map on this GPS over 2 years old, it has not been update and no current map release yet. With all the new contruction and new highway, I got lost because of it.

Bought the 330 to replace a five year old Magellan that had served well but was wearing out.
First trip planned on the 330 routed me to the "correct" street address, but the wrong town -- it was a nearby town (NOT the one I had programmed) that had a street with the same name. TomTom map showed the wrong town name on the map for the routing -- except when I highlighted the area to report the error it showed the correct town name.
I know these units can sometimes get confused when neighboring towns share streets and street names, but this was a major error.
But on the positive side I thought this would give me a chance to try to the error reporting that TomTom brags about. But that interface turned out to be wildly confusing too.
Finally got the routing error reported, but all in all my first impressions of this unit are not good. User instructions are poorly written and vague, leaving the user to intuit much of how to get things working.
And any GPS that sends you to the wrong town doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
If this keeps up I may have to polish up the Magellan and try to get another five years out of it.

I would have given it a 5 star rating if it was not for the mounting bracket.
I use the GPS when I have to go somewhere I have never been. My first GPS was a Garmin but the information was not as accurate. So far we like the TomTom XL 330 really well.

First having a GPS and I like it. Easy to use and program. During the 1st 30 days, you can go online and download updated maps of USA & Canada... took about 2-1/2hours but then you are set. After the 30 days, there is charge for maps but I do not know the fees.
