Q: This hardwound paper towel roll looks like the product we use in our old-fashioned crank-type towel dispenser, but in your store I saw only products meant for use in a touchless dispenser. Answer this question 2 answers A: Most of the old crank style dispensers would handle widths of 8" to 9" wide roll and up to 850'. Key to whether this would work or not would be the core measurement for this roll which is 1.8" in diameter fit on the center roller in your old crank machine. If this core is large enough to fit over the roller then I believe this would be a product that could be used in an lod crank dispenser. It would however have to be replaced more often since this roll is 350' long much less than half of what a normal roll for a hand cranked dispenser would accomodate. Be sure to check the width dimension on your brand of hand cranked dispenser to make sure the paper is not too wide or too narrow for all practical purposes. Q: In the Q&A section, it was stated that these towels are compatible with a Tork Intuition II but not with H1 dispensers. The dispenser here at the school is labeled as "Tork Intuition for H1 papertowels." Do you know if it will work with this dispenser or not? What is the diameter? Answered on 6/23/2010 by Customer Care from Staples A: I just bought these thinking since they were Tork, they had the black plastic end piece. I was wrong. However, if you have one of the black plastic end pieces you can make them work. I took the paper tube from a roll of regular kitchen paper towels and cut it off so it was the same length as the roll of Tork paper towels. Then I wrapped black electric tape around the black plastic piece until it fit tight in the end of paper towel tube I cut off. I then wrapped a couple large rubber bands on the end of the paper towel tube with the black plastic piece so that it fits fairly tight inside the Tork paper towel tube. Popped it into my Tork touchless paper towel dispenser, and out came the paper towels. So when the roll runs out I will just remove the paper towel tube with the plastic piece and stick it in the new roll. Not ideal, but it works and I'm not stuck with a case of paper towels I can't use.
