    3m plastic products are very good for using in the art process known as Solarplate. It is a photosensitive process that uses UV light and water to make etching plates. Images are phtocopied onto the transparencies and then placed on the plate. The sun hardens all the areas left blank. The areas protected by black image wash away. This plastic is clear with no internal patterns that might ruin the artist's image. Thats why we use it.

    I was not happy with this product. I purchased these transparencies because I wanted to have them for future use. When the information was copied onto the transparency, the copied transparency was blurry. Also, after I used it and I cleaned the transparency, all of the information was erased. I was not happy with this because I was planning to use the information I printed in the future.

          I am a culinary instructor at South Texas College. I have severe arthritis which hinders me from writing and erasing my board. I used the transparencies to put all my material on them and it has made my job so much easier.

                  We need to print on transparent film for our t-shirt printing business. The helper at the Staples store assured us this product would work with our ink jet printer but the ink smeared and we can't use it. We will try to return the transparency film.
