I use it for my computer workstation for SHORT periods (around 1 to 2 hours MAX) at a stretch because I haven't purchased a good seat cushion - YET. In the instructions, the design limit is stated as 250 pounds, but the SEAT CUSHION itself says 225 pounds. The closer you are to this weight limit, the more certain it is that you'll have to purchase a high-quality, memory foam seat cushion - which adds SIGNIFICANTLY to the cost. Hence, the 3 stars.
I've had the chair for about 2 weeks, and the jury is out on the LUMBAR SUPPORT. Yes, its very adjustable, but it won't stay in position. Gravity and motion tend to make it slide downward. I'm still working on a "fix".
It's winter and my home office is air conditioned, so it's too soon to tell how effective the MESH BACK is, but so far there's not even a hint of a sweaty back.
The ARM RESTS are very comfortable, but I would bring a tape measure to check if the adjustment range works for YOU and your DESK (they worked for me in my set-up, but they do NOT go very low).
AFTER I add the LifeForm seat cushion, and assuming I can fix the lumbar support, I'll be satisfied. There's no way that the tilt mechanism can compete with an Aeron (different geometry i.e. pivot point), but even after I add the seat cushion, I'm at 50% of a USED Aeron - and that will have to do for now.

I am very pleased with my purchase. First, to address some of the previous incorrect product comments; I guess they wrote their comments before reading the "easy adjustment instructions" Tilt- there is a tilt lock out. You pull the handle out it tilts. Push it in it locks. The arm height padding and height adjustment is easy to adjust and great. Nice to make changes during the day, to type, and to avoid pressure points. I also found the arms to be very secure; you just may need a rubber grip to tighten properly for the width adjustment if you don't have a lot of hand strength. But once you set it you probably won't need to again. I also like the curve of the arm rests and the way they end at the back so you can push with your hands to stretch your shoulders. Lumbar is also adjustable. You turn the nob on the back to adjust in or out. There were some finish imperfections on the armrests, but nothing that you wouldn't have after a few months of use. All in all this chair is worth twice what I paid for it at the current sale price as compared to comparable mesh back chairs I have looked at. I am 5' 11" and 200 lbs. The headrest is awesome. The first one I have ever had that I could actually use and that includes all the cars that I have owned.

The chair is made for overzie and big people. If you are mid sized person or an average sized person you end up leaning to the sides and get a vey bad back ache

This was a great chair, I loved it for the first month. First thing to go on it was the cylinder, it would not hold me up. I'm a big guy but my old five plus year old $100 Staples' chair cylinder never died, but this one did after the first month. I used hose clamps as a temp fix. Next thing to go what pivot assembly where the cylinder connects into the seat bottom. It was so bad that sitting in the chair was like being in a canoe when you have waves all around you. I am looking for my sales slip to return.

I purchased this chair around the holidays while doing my Christmas shopping. I thought wow, [$] for a $200.00 chair is not bad. I do realize that even [$] is a pretty inexpensive chair, and I have always believed that you get what you pay for and this is a prefect example of just that. The chair has been in the box for the last 30+ days because I have purchased new office furniture that I have been waiting on and the spare room has been in disarray. I un-boxed this chair about an hour ago, put it together in about 15 minutes and have not been more disappointed. Without even using the chair as of yet, I would like to emphasize the poor quality and the "cosmetic flaws" are abundant. (You don't see those flaws in the Staples' photos though.) The base with the casters is scratched-up and [...] the silver paint on the arms is chipped off the plastic and scuffed. Also, the screws go in the bottom of the chair at an angle, and the bottom of the seat has a small rip close to where the brackets attach. [...]Disappointed in this purchase. Will probably spend a little extra and get a Herman Miller through [...] Wish I had better things to say.

AFTER 40 YEARS OF BEING IN BUSINESS, SITTING IN A SECRETARIAL TYPE CHAIR 8-10 HOURS A DAY, I NEVER HAD A CHAIR WITH ARMS, THEY JUST GOT IN THE WAY, AND ALWAYS HAD SOME COMPANY ECONOMICAL OR USED CHAIR FROM THE JUNK STORE! WHAT A DIFFERENCE THIS HAS MADE. I HAD A STROKE WHILE WORKING, WHICH LED TO THE DISCOVERY OF POSSIBLY BEING PARAPALEGIC, (HAD SURGERY TO REPLACE DISINIGRATING NECK DISCS,(I'M A "BIONIC WOMAN" NOW!), WHICH SHOULD KEEP MY UPPER BODY FROM BEING PARALYZED, ALSO BOTH SHOULDERS AND CARPAL TUNNEL SURGERIES. MY LOMBAR IS ALSO DISINGRATING, WHICH COULD LEAD TO BEING PARALYZED FROM THE WAIST DOWN. I'M REALLY HOPING THE CHAIR HELPS WITH THIS. I HAVE NOT USED MY COMPUTER MUCH SINCE THE BEGINNING OF ALL THE FINDINGS, BUT NOW I'M COMFORTABLE. MY HUSBAND HAS TO REMIND ME IT'S LATE OR THE CAT DEFINITELY REMINDS ME IT'S TIME TO EAT! SO AS YOU CAN TELL...I'M FINALLY COMFORTABLE AND LOVING IT! MY ONLY small PROBLEM IS THAT I DON'T ALWAYS WEAR LONG PANTS, SO AFTER LONG PERIODS OF ENJOYING MYSELF AGAIN, THE SEAT STARTS FEELING A LITTLE ITCHY ON MY BARE SKIN. NO BIG DEAL, I'LL JUST LAY A SOFT CLOTH OVER IT. BY THE WAY, HAVING SO MANY HEALTH PROBLEMS, I'M NOT VERY STRONG, AND YET, CAN STILL ADJUST THE WHOLE CHAIR WHILE SITTING IN IT, ARMS, HEIGHT, EVERYTHING. OVERALL, THIS IS A PERFECT CHAIR FOR ME, LITTLE OLD LADIES AND EVEN THEIR CATS!
