I replaced a very good 3 year old Uniden corded/cordless phone with answering system with an even better one because I needed the three handsets included with the Uniden 2188-3 Dect 6.0 and the price at $99.00 at Staples was very good. I'll pass my old Uniden phone on to someone as it is still in perfect working order. My new phone is completely installed and working fine. I just need to find the time to enter phone numbers in my address book and assign special ring tones to my sons incoming calls - a really delightful feature. My son was able to figure out how to re-record on to an ipod my saved special messages so that I could keep them as mementos. The voice quality of the answering machine was that good. In some ways I'm tech savy, but compared to my sons, I'm very limited and it did take me some time to "program" my new phone. Fortunately the menus are actually easy to use and programming errors are easily correctable. I am a very pleased customer.

I had this one phone system before that had only 2 phones. I was always forgetting one of the phones in the garage when i would be working there . Now i have a phone in my garage ! one in my bedroom , one in the family room with what I REALLY like best is the MAIN phone that when the power goes out I still have a phone that works with out me having to hook up the princess phone !!!! This is a VERY practical phone system that REALLY works GREAT ! and all of the features are super also !!!! I love it and so does my wife !!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE to get !!! and the price range was just right !!! I love it !!!

I bought this for my mother and father in-law. Their house has metal grids in the walls. Their old system used 2.4ghz and reception was terrible. The dect 6 set has full coverage in all areas of the house and you can actually walk from room to room and not lose the signal. Great stuff.

I shopped all of the phones that had a wired handset along with remote handsets. This one came out on top due to the quality of the system and the excellent price point for what you get. If you are looking for a desk phone to talk on all day long with fatigue that also offers wireless handsets for when you are away from your desk you can't do much better than this Uniden.
