As a business, we need to have phones that are clear sounding. This product has poor reception, hard to hear the customer and the customer can't hear us clearly either.

I replaced my 5 year old AT&T corded two line phone with the Uniden 4096 when the LCD screen gave out. This is my primary office phone and I have two business lines running into the phone. The reason I went with the Uniden is that it was value priced and I really liked the idea of the cordless handset. (Didn't miss a call watching the NCAA tournament on the "big screen".)

I've been very happy with the phone. Both the corded base handset and the cordless handset have very clear reception. The speaker phone has very good volume and I have had no complaints from listeners when using the speaker phone. Putting callers on hold, switching lines, conference feature are all very easy to use. I don't use the answering machine as I have AT&T call notes.

My only complaint is the speed dial function is a bit cumbersome, it allows you to set up 100 names with up to two phone numbers per name. The two issues are - First, there is not a way to distinguish what the two numbers are i.e., cell, office, home, etc. , . The second issue is that if you have 100 names in your phone list you have to either scroll to a persons name starting at from the top of the list (A) or from the bottom of the list (Z). My solution is I've limited the number of names to my most important speed dials (in my case 11 names) and I use the first number as a office number and the second number as a cell.

Other than that I'm very happy with the system.

This Phone so far is a great buy. I've had it for three weeks and it works great. Sound is very clear and the battery life on the hand set is really good. I've had it off the charger for several days and it holds it charge. Not sure why others did not have the same experience, but this is a good quality phone unit. The only thing that I would recommend so far is that Uniden would add additional sounds to I.D. the two different lines.

If the date/time feature worked properly, I would give this product a perfect rating. Outside of this concern, I am very pleased with the service amenities provided by this phone.

Nice phone, got it for a small business, Line 2 is for a magicjack line. This phone is top rated by a non profit consumer magazine. I found the cordless range excellent and lots of usefull features. I only wish I could get all the cordless handset features on the base unit, like selectable ring tones. I got the sale just in time, now its over guys, but still a great buy. The company has a good website too.
