We have a phone in every room of the house, I have always grown up on AT&T or Panasonic phones, years back I bought a phone for myself and it was a Uniden, its been at least 10 years ago and it is still a GREAT phone! Two years ago I bought my mom a new cordless 2 line Panasonic, she to this day hates it. So for this past Christmas I bought her the landline w/ answering machine, and a cordless phone. She luvs it. She has gone back to buy more. Its an added bonus that you can add to the phone with using a phone jack. I would recommend this phone and this brand to anyone.

I have this unit with the base for a 2 line wireless phone. I purchased for compatibility arount wireless networking equipment. I have returned the base 2 times to Uniden and the sound annd reception is still the same. The phone cuts out all the time and static on the receiving end. I normally sit within 1 foot of the base and the sound still cuts out. If there were a decent model and brand of 2 line wireless phone I would switch to it in a heartbeat. DO NOT BUY this unit YOU WILL BE SORRY.

          I added this unit after having the main phone and three other extensions in place for 3 years. I like the ability to page between each phone or pressing the button to page all extensions. Very clear reception when paging between units. Good reception between different floors in the building as well as from the exterior of the building. Each phone extension is displayed as "Handset #1" "Handset #2" etc. I would like to see this customized so that it said "Tom" "Susan" "Conf Room" and such personalized wording, but it works, just need to remember each extension.
          I occasionally get static when near the computer.
