Liz - Yes, I am certain that this lamp (which I posted the day that I rec'd the actual lamp) does NOT take a T4 bulb. Rather, as I state above, it does (like the product specs state) take T3 Halogen bulb, but, the weird thing that I discovered while surfing Staples, is that "T3" bulbs can have "2 pin" (found at one end) halogen style, as well as "double ended" halogen bulbs - so the "T3"/"T4" thing does not appear to help at all. What I can say is that that Staples still DOES sell this double ended *STYLE* of halogen bulb (Item # Item 728332, for example), but only in the 100W. Since this lamp cannot take a bulb higher than 75 watts, you will have to find replacement bulbs for this lamp somewhere other than Staples. Hope this helps.
