        I wanted a lamp to light up computer keyboard at night without having alot of light because computer area is close to TV watching area and I did not want to disturb TV viewers. This lamp works nicely because it can be moved but does not fall off because of clamp.

          I bought this to use for extra light on my easel or elsewhere in my studio and it works very well. I like that it's lightweight and attaches easily--just wish the cord were a little longer so I didn't have to use an extension.

                Yes, you can substitute a led bulb for the E26 CFL (compact fluorescent light) bulb that comes with the lamp. In addition, with led lighting, you have the advantages of lower wattage, lasts longer and going green all in one.
