    The phone is GREAT for the price. I was planning on buying a battery for an old phone but the cost of this phone was not much more than a replacement battery. The call quality is very good but may be a hair worse than a panasonic KX-TGA101B (5 year old phone). Build quality is good and design is nice. Two drawbacks are the lack of a headphone jack and the static heard on the computer speakers when it is plugged in to the same electrical outlet. I tried it on a different electrical outlet and this eliminated the problem but the setup is inconvenient because the phone and computer should be near each other. I don't have this problem with other phones. I thought 6.0 Detect phones did away with interference. Overall I am pleased with this phone.

                I was looking for a phone to use with a wireless home connection system. I did not need a multiple phone arrangement but rather just wanted a single phone - one that I could take with me when I travel and take my wireless phone connection with me. Well, I found this phone at Staples and it fit the bill. I bought it. Took it home. Charged the battery and put it to use right away. What could be simpler than that.
                We have phone service through our internet and cable provider and when we lost cable, it was this phone to the rescue.

                Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                    brought home pluged in to charge, read easy direction to set up answering machine. once it had charged I set it up, so simple. It has a loud ring tone, which I was well pleased with. All and all can't be beat.
