Q: I currently have a Verifone 510 Omni 3730 credit card processing machine and have an account with a merchant processing company. We are setup and do accept debit cards having the customer enter their pin into the existing credit card machine. This is an awkward situation because the whole terminal is not easily accessible to the customer for them to enter their pin. I have to either pick up the terminal and twist it around for the customer to put in their pin or have them come around to the other side of the desk to reach the terminal. My question is, would this pin pad be compatible with our existing credit card terminal and would it just be as simple as plugging it in to the terminal and it working? Or does it require some sort of setup with our existing merchant processing company for it to be compatible?
