Comments about ViewSonic 20" Refurbished LCD Monitor:
Works great for word processing and spreadsheets if you don't like the wide-screen look. I got this just because I prefer the square-looking screen for office applications. The colors were not as sharp and clear, and resolution was not what I expected. I will not recommend it for multi-media or gaming applications. However, for that price for a refurnished unit - it's well worth it.
Comments about ViewSonic 20" Refurbished LCD Monitor:
I was looking for a bigger screen for ordinary office use for MS Word and MS Excel. This is about what you can get by, nothing fancy about the monitor except it's bigger than a 17". I wouldn't be happy if it is for multi-media or graphics use. The images are not clear and sharp even though the specs stated - 1600 x 1200. However, for [$] and a refurnished unit - can't expect too much out of that, get what you pay for.

Q:
Is this a widescreen or a 4:3 ?? I am looking for identical model non widescreen in pairs. I want to buy either 4 or 6 but each set of 2 needs to mattch
Without a particular model number determining the exact answer is difficult; however, most models of Viewsonic televisions larger than 20 inches are widescreen and not 4.3.

Q:
I presently have a viewsonic model vp2130b that has gone south. is this refurbished unit comparable? thanks
If the quoted resolution of 1600x1200 is accurate, it would indicate that this monitor is not widescreen. It has a 4:3 aspect ratio, as apposed to 16:9 or 16:10 (the common widescreen aspect ratios).
