VERY high quality Hard Drive from Western Digital! I'm extremely impressed with the extreme quality of this drive, build quality is excellent, perfect operation, it's perfectly quiet (just barely audible), and it works GREAT with my 2003 vintage Apple Powerbook G4 1Ghz machine. Staples makes buying easy by having this item on sale for [...]I highly recommend this drive for any aluminum Powerbook G4 user who would like to increase their HDD space, or if they simply want a better HDD. The old drive from the factory (a Hitachi was a 60gb and ran at 4,200rpm) was really noisy, and failed after 6 years (normal, I suppose)...but failed silently, which is worse than a clicking or squeaking failure because there was no warning. I'm impressed with this new Western Digital Scorpio Blue 2.5" x 9.5mm replacement HDD. Great price and superb funcitionality. Bravo!

I wish the previous hard drive didn't crash, but the store service tech (Mike at Orlando, FL's John Young Parkway store) was very helpful, above and beyond most tech's elsewhere in other stores.

Upgraded my Mac Powerbook HDD from 100GB to 240GB. The only difficulty was opening up the notebook. There was nothing to swapping the drives.
