  • Q:

Is this compatable with X Charge or PC Charge?
Asked on 7/3/2012 by Amy from Chicago

    1 answer

    • A:

"X Charge" and "PC Charge" are two competing types of credit card processing software, neither one specifies particular types of bar code readers in their system requirements -- but check their PC requirements -- as long as both the Wasp (J79603) WMR-1250 Magnetic Stripe Reader and the software are compatible with the PC they are attached to it should all work.

  • Q:

Does this product work with web-based Credit Card processing services? Our consignment point-of-sale software does not handle credit card processing within the application. Also are there any issues when using this product with a laptop?

Yes, this will work with Windows 7 as it does not directly connect to the computer. It will read insurance cards if they use low-coercivity or high-coercivity encoding schemes.
