I love my Waterman fountain pen, and I use it constantly so I go through a lot of ink. I prefer these cartridge refills so I can take an extra one along with me in my purse or backpack and just pop it into the pen when I run out. They are much less messy to use than filling the pen with ink from a bottle, too! I am extremely glad Staples continues to carry and stock these refills as they can be hard to find.

I searched out water-based ink pens when I developed an allergy to petrochemicals. Water-based inks are low odor and hypoallergenic. Letters will smear and bleed when touched with water, but if you keep your paperwork dry, this is not a problem. Some ink cartridges leak badly and make using a fountain pen a pointlessly messy experience. These cartridges have never leaked on me, in or out of the pen. Overall, a thoroughly excellent product.

I have written with fountain pens since high school and the Waterman fountain pens are the best fountain pens I own (and I have a Mont Blanc). They are not that expensive and are beautiful pens; the refills are economical due to how big they are.
