The Westcott wooden ruler is a traditional, foot-long ruler that is made of sturdy wood and finished for increased durability. Its clear, precise gradations make it easy to use for measuring. The ruler includes a beveled edge that helps you use it for drawing straight lines.

Strong and Reliable
Each Westcott wooden ruler is made of selected wood. It is sealed with a lacquer finish that protects its markings and gradations from damage so you can see them easily.

Precise Measurement
The Westcott wooden ruler is a full 12 inches long, and it is marked with 1/16-inch gradations. You can use it for precise measurement of anything from paper to lumber.

Easy Drawing
The beveled edge of the Westcott wooden ruler makes it an ideal tool for drawing straight lines. Use it along with a precise mechanical pencil to draw on common surfaces and mark surfaces for cutting or sawing.

I hate to do bad reviews, but....My son got a huge papercut his first time using this ruler. The metal strip that runs along the side, probably not a good idea for a school supply. He was drawing a straight line and once he got to the end he noticed he had been cut.
