My scissors also broke cutting through a zip tie. I had them less than a month and they broke at the hinge. Will try to exchange at store or warranty for replacement.

I have 2 pairs that were dropped onto a carpeted floor and seperate times and broke easily in the same spot easily.

Seemed like a sharp nice pair of scissors. Plastic broke at center hinge cutting a plastic zip tie. You get what you pay for (I'm looking for an all stainless steel pair now)
