I bought it because it was electric. It is not and you have misrepresented this item. Only uses batteries. If I helped a cause, Fine, but will not trust your ads again.

This is a clear example of "you get what you pay for." It's much better at breaking pencils than sharpening them. I'm glad part of the $ goes to help fund breast cancer research, because that's all that was good about this purchase.

Hopefully i just got a lemon. I used this once to sharpen about 5 pencils. The automatic cut off function is non-existant. A lead broke in the sharpener. I took off the lid and emptied the sharpener and replaced the lid. now it clicks when you sharpen a pencil, and it doesn't really work any more. sitting on the shelf looking cute is about all mine is worth. taking it back.

Purchased for my granddaughters, because they wanted an electric sharpener, There is nothing in the description that states that it is battery powered, if I knew that I would not have purchased it.
We recently purchased one of these 'electric' pencil sharpeners after checking the q&a section were it says that it uses a cord, IT DOES NOT, it takes 4 AAA batteries.
