The WD Scorpio Blue 320GB is a very good primary laptop drive and an equally good removable backup drive. While I prefer a somewhat faster drive (i.e. 7200 RPM drives)I am very satisfied with this drive. It's through-put is on par with my 7200RPM Scorpio Black and Toshiba drives and seems to make up for it's 5400 RPM speed through efficient internal software. And it runs about 40-degrees cooler too.
I bought two of them and they are as reliable as a fine watch. Overall, GOOD DRIVES at a good price.

Where did WD's quality go??? This drive lasted less than one week, maybe 12 boot cycles. Waste of time and effort.

The only negative is the product arrives without install instructions, and suggests using a, "professional." The product is an easy install and with start-up disc begins it's software intall quickly and within an hour and a half software was downloaded.
