Believe me, I'm just another geek guy who buys all tech gadgets and I didnt enough review and researches on media players in the market and finally for a deal, got this one in Staples. order processing was swift and the package arrived in just 4 days. Boom, in just 5 minutes of opening my WD TV LIVE HD, I'm watching Blueray Movies from my 2 TG Seagate Externall HDD on my TV with WiFi Enabled. It did all the settings by itself.

I'm just glad I bought this one. No issues with reading external HDD formatted to work with Mac. Instant reading and no buffer delay.

Also, I was able to access the HDD via WD TV live's Wifi as network device and boom I can also watch movies from my HDD via the WD TV live on my computer. Believe me even my top neighbour who shares the WiFi was able to stream it from my HDD @ my home and watched movies. Now that doesnt get any better than thsi right?

So I can strongly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for budget value and best media player for options.

it's ok

it's an ok little box.pros:i like how it has netflix and the ability to play more file formats.it has youtubecons:browsing through files is slow.it feels like u have to press the remote hard just to register the command.i found it hard to believe that the 50 dollar roku LT unit has better picture quailty than wdtv live streamer for netflix.

Every thing is great with this product. The only thing it lacks is a full fledged Internet browser. It almost replaced my use of laptop when it comes to connecting it to TV or home theater system. Plus the laptop was only able to send stereo signal for the audio part to my HTS. But this one reproduces what ever that's code in your source, which is a huge plus for me. Also, it plays all kinds of movie format without a delay or interruption. On top of this you have a remote to play, pause, skip......etc, which is very handy when compared to using laptop. I love this product and would recommend to all my friends.

I enjoy this device very much, having netflix tied into it makes it all the better and then when I shared the drive from the router to the device everything is great now. I will get log from the share when two devices access it but I think thats the usb2 external not performing :(

Bought this to use for streaming from my server. Wifi is weak for this however the LAN connection is adequate. Wifi seems good for everything else. It is easy to setup and use.
