  The item would start recording directly onto your computer, this allows for the save button on the software the product uses. When you save you can enter the name that you would like it saved under.

  The device appears to just transfer and convert the audio to your PC hard drive for recording. Record time depends on how big a Hard Drive your PC contains. Also supports Network Hard drive option. Network Hard drive options are unlimited. Record time is not the issue, It's about how much money you are willing to spend on Hard Drive Storage. I am unaware of how the system files the recordings. Wondering if this system used .file names or date time/stamping? Hope this helps.
