I could not be happier with this product. It is wide enough to accommodate an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock. But you can also lay smaller items side-by-side and conserve plastic (make sure you hold them steady so they don't overlap!) I really love that you only roll out what you need. No plugging in, no heating up (or cooling down), cartridges replace easily, and the slicing blade works smoothly. This is a quality product

If you plan on using your laminated items for more than once or twice, or anywhere thickness of the laminate is important, do not buy this machine. Even after laminating, the laminate is so thin, you can easily fold the item. We used it to make passes that we punched holes in and not only did they bend and crease, but the holes ripped right through the rest of the laminated items within a few minutes. Buy a machine that uses a much thicker sheet to laminate your items.

I was excited to find a cool laminator that didn't cost an arm and a leg until I used it. The laminant is so thin it feels like paper, and is a waste of time to laminate anything that you want to be even remotely stiff or to last. The edges started to come apart after being used for a short time and it was so flimsy that it bends in the wind. DO NOT buy this machine if you plan on using it for anything that requires a stiff final appearance. Now,I'm stuck with a laminator that we don't use and an entire extra refill box.

This is inexpensive, so it's not as polished as a 'real' laminator, but the pro's way outweigh the con's! It's small, quick, easy, no heating, no wastage if you have small pieces. The only con I can think of is that it is not always as smooth a seal as a heat-sealer, so if I had something that needed to be REALLY tight, slick, and professional, I'd take it to someone with a heat laminator. But for day-to-day use, this is great! You get good value for the money, in my opinion.
