The WorkCentre printer can be used with a single computer or as a shared network asset when you connect it to a local area network. After it is set up, the 4-in-1 printer provides printing, copying, scanning, and faxing services.

Multifunction Printing
Xerox's WorkCentre multifunction laser printer provides printing, color copying, color scanning, and walkup faxing capability all in a single unit that can be placed on a desktop for convenient use. The printer can be used with most computer systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux/Unix operating systems. Advanced connectivity options allow you to use the printer directly with a computer via a USB connection or to connect the printer to an existing network through an Ethernet connection hooked up to a wired network hub or router. When connected to a network, the printer's functions can be shared by other computers also connected to the same network.

Advanced Scanning and Fax Features
With WorkCentre, you can scan documents to a variety of locations for your convenience. Scans can be placed in any location on your system's hard drive or can be sent to a remote location using email or FTP. Scanned files can also be saved to a USB memory device for instant portability. Faxes using the WorkCentre printer can be sent in color, broadcast to multiple recipients, and delayed for sending at a specified time. Fax addresses can also be saved to the printer in a searchable address book for later use.

Security Features Included
The WorkCentre has several advanced security features included for added protection of confidential documents. The printer is capable of entering a secure print or fax mode that prevents the printing of selected documents or faxes without the input of a programmable code. There is also scanning security included, allowing you to add authentication features to scanned files to prevent unauthorized access once they've been placed into your system.
