      I ususally shop on Tuesday and stop into Staples to see what they have. I bought a book case in this same line (Z-line) on sale the week before. I really liked the quality of the book case. So I went back into Staples the next week to see if they had any more of the bookcases. They were all gone, but while I was looking I saw this desk and lucky me they had one in this line. I bought the book case, this desk and a filing cabinet in the Z-line. I wished they had another book case, but by the time I got there the next week they were all gone.

        I found this on super sale, and bought it because it was cheap. We didn't put the cubbies on top and LOVE it that way. We eventually intend to put an all in one computer on the top, but until then, we play games, draw, do homework, or eat snacks on this thing. We even went back to buy another one for our basement.

          I have an area off of my formal dining rooms thats separated by two tall pillars...we made this an elegant library by putting in 2 tall book cases and we added this desk...wow very elegant and functional. This is where my husband spends most of his reading time. I'm so glad because my office is now just for me.

              Can you tell me the height of the bottom of the desk to the floor? I would like to buy drawers to put underneath this desk that I have ordered. Thank you.

                The height of the entire item is 36", and the height of the desk portion is 30". It appears that from the bottom of the desk portion to the top of the desk portion is approximately 4". Based on that, I would say the height from the floor to the underside of the desk would be approximately 26".

A series of hardware is supplied to attach the hutch to the desk, and is not removable once attached. We have a similar desk without a hutch that may meet your needs. Please view item number 415308.                 No, the desk and the hutch are measured seperately. There fore the depth of the desk is 24" while the depth of the hutch is only 9".
